A Travel to the Moon
As a representative of our school, I took up the voluntary work as a steward in a spaceship, which sent goods
and recyclable materials to the settlement of the moon. Hardly had I got off the carriage when I slid into the capsule
through a small opening. The optimistic stewardess guided me to have some tablets, fasten my safety belt and told
me some expertise, then the pilot pressed a button, showing the journey began.
At first, I was uncertain and the capsule started constantly swinging sideways. With the spaceship speeding up,
the new surroundings were more difficult to tolerate. Affected by lacking air, my head ached. I put on a mask at
once and made some adjustments. After a while, I was back on my feet. Looking out of the window, I lost sight of
the earth and found myself surrounded by beautiful clouds.
The instant we arrived in the moon, the citizens’ environmentally friendly lifestyle left a deep impression on
me in many aspects. I saw a giant dustbin, which is greedy to swallow waste available. Much to my surprise, there
are no more typists working on a typewriter or computer and no more postage or postcodes. In sight, there is no
desert full of mud. I also saw a amazing machine sweeping up the street automatically through flashing its switch.
More surprisingly, It can work according to its receiver and timetable. How powerful human races will be in the
future! My motivation of working hard increased the second I thought of the wonderful life of the future.

A Unusual Interview Experience
As a housewife, I depended on writing to earn my living. I was very delighted to work as an amateur journalist
in the News Department last summer so as to acquire a knowledge of future occupation. The senior editor
thoroughly assessed my article which I had polished many times, and warmly introduced some professional and
technical skills to me, including using accurate vocabularies. Soon came a case for me.
Firstly, I made an appointment with the interviewee， then assisted by a gifted photographer, a new colleague,
I began to interview an admirable policeman, who made great contributions to preventing crime. He said he felt
guilty when he talked of his family, but he didn’t regret being a policeman， especially when those criminals were
accused of and sentenced. He always demanded himself to perform his duty，serving the people heart and soul .In
the process of the interview, so eager was I to know everything about his devotion to his work that I fully
concentrated on his story. Meanwhile, I was also in a dilemma because of forgetting the next question, in which
case he would slow down deliberately and my assistant would take photographs for him.
No sooner had I returned than I submitted the updated edition of my article ahead of the deadline. I was
informed that the chief editor approved of it and it was published on the first section. It was the interview
experience that made me more confident in the future career.
