　　这是巴基斯坦少女马拉拉·优素福·扎伊在联合国青年大会上的演讲。马拉拉

是巴基斯坦西北部的一名女学生，以争取妇女接受教育的权利而闻名。20xx 年

10 月 9 日，马拉拉在乘校车回家途中，遭到塔利班枪手企图暗杀，头部和颈部

中枪，一度情况危殆。为表彰马拉拉不畏塔利班威胁、积极为巴基斯坦女童争

取受教育权利所作出的杰出贡献，联合国将每年的 7 月 12 日(马拉拉生日)定为

“马拉拉日”。这篇演讲是马拉拉 16 岁生日，也就是马拉拉日当天在联合国青

年大会上的演讲，呼吁女性受教育权利，强调书和笔作为武器是最有力的。她

还说：只有当我们见到黑暗时，才能体会光明的珍贵。她说还：教育的力量让

恐怖分子感到害怕，女性的声音的力量让他们感到害怕。

　　 In the name of God, the most beneficent, the most merciful.

Honorable UN Secretary General Mr Ban Ki-moon, respected president

of the General Assembly Vuk Jeremic, honorable UN envoy for global

education Mr Gordon Brown, respected elders and my dear brothers

and sisters: Assalamu alaikum.

　　Today is it an honor for me to be speaking again after a long time.

Being here with such honorable people is a great moment in my life

and it is an honor for me that today I am wearing a shawl of the late

Benazir Bhutto. I don't know where to begin my speech. I don't know

what people would be expecting me to say, but first of all thank you to

God for whom we all are equal and thank you to every person who has

prayed for my fast recovery and new life. I cannot believe how much

love people have shown me. I have received thousands of good wish

cards and gifts from all over the world. Thank you to all of them. Thank

you to the children whose innocent words encouraged me. Thank you

to my elders whose prayers strengthened me. I would like to thank my

nurses, doctors and the staff of the hospitals in Pakistan and the UK and

the UAE government who have helped me to get better and recover my

strength.
