Universal Orlando offers the next best thing. The theme park opened every Harry Potter fan’s dream place back in
2010.
For Potterheads everywhere, however, deciding when to make the trip to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter
is not easy. These tips will help you experience the best of the Wizarding World, whether you’re looking to save
money, avoid the busy season, or simply experience the most magical times of the year.
The cheapest times to visit Harry Potter’s world
The cheapest (and least busy) months to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter are January and most of
February, except the days surrounding the New Year and winter break. Other inexpensive times include the
beginning of March and most of September and October.
The best Harry Potter events at Universal
While they may not be the quietest times to explore Harry Potter’s world, Universal holds many events
throughout the year that fans won’t want to miss.
A Celebration of Harry Potter
For a weekend every January, Universal hosts A Celebration of Harry Potter. Guests (wearing their class robes,
no doubt) will join other diehard Potter fans for three days of exhibits, discussions and cast Q&A activities. For
anyone who really loves the books and the films, this may be one of the best times of the year to visit.
Christmas in the Wizarding World
Universal’s new additions to their holiday entertainment lineup make Hogwarts the perfect place to be around
Christmastime. Decorations add beauty to the shops of Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, the Frog Choir sings
Christmas carols (颂歌)，and snow falls on Hogwarts as a festive show takes place in front of the castle.
Halloween in the Wizarding World
Lastly (and perhaps most surprisingly), Halloween season is also a good time for a magical visit to the
Wizarding World. Universal’s main Halloween event, Halloween Horror Nights, produces a special Harry Potter-
related surprise.

It is in human nature to explore new things. To that end, many countries have been exploring space for many
decades, particularly the US, Russia, and countries in Europe.
President Xi Jinping praised the success of the Chang’e 5 mission (使命) in bringing back the country’s first
samples (样本) collected from the moon. The whole country is proud of this breakthrough. The Chang’e 5 mission
has achieved many significant breakthroughs, including China’s first lunar (月球的) surface sampling, first liftoff
from the moon and the first spacecraft with the ability to gather and meet in lunar orbit with samples to re-enter the
Earth s atmosphere.
The success of the Chang’e 5 mission marks a conclusion of China’s current lunar exploration project. The
successful re-entry and landing of the Chang’e 5 capsule (太空舱) have enabled China to obtain its first lunar
samples, marking a new start for lunar and planetary research. With this achievement, China sets a new milestone
in space exploration.
No matter how far China goes into space, it always stays true to its original mission-uncovering the secrets of
the universe and contributing to human’s peaceful use of space. China is a peace-loving country and will use its
achievements for promoting peace around the globe.
China views these efforts as part of the world’s lunar exploration. It chose a different landing site and is
promising to share its samples to enrich the planet’s knowledge. Some foreign scientists have shown particular
interest. The exploration is not for commercial purposes, but international scientific research. Human beings shall
explore the moon together, as it will finally need large projects requiring international cooperation. China will play
a leadership role in the international scientific community.

At university, when I told people I was studying for a history degree, the response was almost always the
same, “You want to be a teacher?” No, a journalist. “Oh. But you’re not majoring in communications?”
In the days when a university education was a privilege, perhaps there wasn’t the assumption that a degree had
to be a springboard directly into a career. Those days are long gone. Today, a degree is all but a necessity for the job
market, one that more than halves your chances of being unemployed. Still, that alone is no guarantee of a job—
and yet we’re paying more and more for one.
Given those costs, most of us want to maximize that investment — and that can lead to a plug-and-play type of
approach to higher education. Want to be a journalist? Study journalism, we’re told. A lawyer? Pursue pre-law. Not
totally sure? Go into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineer and Maths) — you can become an engineer or an IT
expert. And no matter what you do, forget the humanities, such as history, philosophy and languages.
It’s true that the humanities come with a higher risk of unemployment, but the risk is slighter than you would
imagine. For young people in the U.S. , the unemployment rate of those with humanities degrees is four percent,
just a little more than that of engineering degree holders. Lower salaries may not be caused by the degree itself
either. The gender pay gap persists in the humanities, whose graduates are more likely to be female. Is it any
wonder then that language teachers tend to make less than engineers?
According to LinkedIn’s research on the most sought-after job skills by employers for 2019, the ability to
communicate and get along with people, to understand what’s on other people’s minds, and to do full-strength
critical analysis were all valued and appreciated. It goes without saying that you can be an excellent communicator
and critical thinker without a humanities degree. And any good university education, not just one in English or
